Brain and Memory : Modulation and mediation of neuroplasticity

Bok av James L. McGaugh och Norman M. Weinberger m.fl.
This is the fifth work to result from a conference at the Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory at the University of California, Irvine. It is the third volume that OUP has offered for publication. This volume focuses on several areas of the neurobiology of learning and memory in which there have been important developments in recent years. The areas of focus are emotion and memory, ageing and memory, cortical plasticity and memory, and LTP and memory. The first two areas include an examination of recent developments in studies of human memory as well as animal memory. The chapters on LTP and memory explicitly address the question of whether the available evidence supports the hypothesis that LTP serves as a basis of some forms of memory.
