The object of Hinduism and Buddhism: An Historical Sketch is to trace the history and development of religion in India and elsewhere with occasional remarks on its latest phases. This book is an attempt to give a sketch of Indian thought or Indian religion - for the two terms are nearly equivalent in extent - and of its history and influence in Asia.
