A Concise History of the Qing Dynasty

Bok av Yi Dai
The Qing Dynasty was a feudal institution established by the upper dominant class of the Manchu ethnic minority--and the last of the feudal autocratic monarchy dynasties in China's long history. This book provides an account of the history of the Manchurian rise, their peak and decline, and their eventual demise, but, above all, it is an account of the significant history of the development, creation, and struggle for a modern China. Spread across four volumes, this record begins with the ancestry and rise of Manchu and ends at the Opium War in 1840, after which China entered the modern historical period and great revolutionary changes took place in society that were fundamentally different from those of the early and mid-Qing Dynasty.
