Rött uppror är första delen i en triologi av Pierce Brown. Den är välskriven och läsaren hålls intresserad i stort sett varje blad. Under tiden man läser kan man få uppfattningen att man vet vad som kommer hända härnäst men ack vad fel man har! Författaren har verkligen lyckats med att förvåna och ge läsaren ett annat perspektiv än vad det utgav först. Som i de flesta fantasy böcker är det en kärlekshistoria som är själva grunden som startar krig men sedan utvecklas till mer. Även om krig om världar och planeter är huvudtråden så är historian så pass bra vävd att det inte bara blir en "krigsbok". Den är lite seg i början innan man kommer in i historian och alla personer som vävs ihop, men den har helt klart gett mig mersmak till tvåan som ska börjas läsas inom kort!
