Del 2 i serien om Mitfordsystrarna, även denna ett mordmysterium som ska lösas. En kvinna blir anklagad för ett mord och Louisa Cannon, huvudpersonen, ska försöka hjälpa till att rentvå henne.
Denna är precis som dess föregångare i serien inte särskilt lik Downton Abbey trots att den blir jämförd med den eftersom den utspelar sig under 1920-talets London. Ändå är det snäppet bättre än del 1, men inte mycket.
Andra boken i serien om barnsköterskan Louisa Cannon och systrarna Mitford. Varje syster ska få varsin bok. Tvåan handlar om Pamela som är den okända systern i skaran. Mest känd är Nancy Mitford som var författarinna och även är med i denna bok. På en fest i familjens gods blir en ung man mördad under en skattjakt och Louisa måste lösa mordgåtan. Tjänsteflickan Dulcie blir misstänkt men Louisa är helt säker på att hon är oskyldig. Samtidigt i London härjar en kvinnlig rånarliga och Louisas polisvän utreder ärendet. Boken är spännande och jag tycker om att läsa böcker som utspelar sig i historiska miljöer. Nu ser jag fram emot att tredje att läsa tredje delen.
