Imponerande att denna roman om ett lesbiskt förhållande kom ut 1952. Jag hoppas att den öppnade ögonen för många med beskrivningen av Therese och Carols förhållande! Fin beskrivning av tiden med telegram, brev som skickas till hotell när någon är på resa, jakten efter telefoner när man måste ringa, samhällsliv, sociala samspel.
Kärleken (eller snarare besattheten) Therese känner för Carol känns som att befinna sig i en virvelvind som läsare. Att följa Therese sakta förstå att hon inte bara gillar män, till att öppet förstå hur vidriga männen i hennes liv är och att deras ord inte längre är hennes lag. Underbar bok, och så viktig!
