Study on Diffusion of Technologies of Agricultural Science and Technology Parks

How to use agricultural science and technology parks as vehicles to realize a rapid diffusion of technological innovations in them so as to promote the faster development of regional agricultural economy is an important proposition both in theory and practice .Taking advantage of the tradition and advantage of geography in the research of regional differences and spatial processes and through analyses of a large number of related literatures, this book defined several main directions for the research on diffusion of technological innovations in agricultural science and technology parks and focused its theoretical explorations on the system, environment, dynamic mechanism and other aspects of the diffusion.Based on this, it took a commanding elevation of agricultural technology innovations in the arid and semi-arid areas, Yangling National Agricultural Science and Technology Park in Shaanxi Province, as an object of its study. And then through a large number of actual investigations and interviews and using various technical means, it conducted empirical studies on factors influencing the diffusion of the Park's technologies, environment of the diffusion, law of the diffusion of its typical technologies, typical characteristics of the diffusion under different spatial scales and so on. In addition, based on its diagnosis of problems existing in the diffusion of the Park, it proposed some main ways to optimize the diffusion, such as combining government guidances with market mechanisms, encouraging participation of diversified subjects, enhancing the training of farmers and improving the environment of the areas within the diffusion.The innovativeness of this study lies in the perspective of geography from which it conducted a review of the issue of the diffusion of technologies of agricultural science and technology parks, the focus on spatial dimensions of the diffusion and the use of quantitative analysis in the research.The results of the study are of great significance to deepen theoretical explorations and improve the promotion of the diffusion of technologies of agricultural science and technology parks.This book is applicable for researchers of economic geography, agricultural economics, regional economics and other relevant disciplines and staff engaged in promotion of agricultural technologies to refer to.
