Mrs Dalloway is a novel by Virginia Woolf that details a day in the life of Clarissa Dalloway in post-World War I England. Mrs Dalloway continues to be one of Woolf's best-known novels. Created from two short stories, "e;Mrs Dalloway in Bond Street"e; and the unfinished "e;The Prime Minister"e;, the novel's story is of Clarissa's preparations for a party of which she is to be hostess. With the interior perspective of the novel, the story travels forwards and back in time, and in and out of the characters' minds, to construct a complete image of Clarissa's life and of the inter-war social structure
En liten men väldigt bra bok av Virginia Wolf, kommer fortfarande ihåg den trots att jag läste den för snart 20 år sedan.
Mrs Dalloway sade att hon skulle köpa blommorna själv. Så börjar denna bok som utspelar sig under ett dygn i London. Boken handlar om plikter och konventioner, psykisk ohälsa och homosexualitet men också om meningen med livet. Vi får följa Clarissa Dalloway som ska ställa till en fest för sin man. En vacker och rörande bok.
